Back in 83 I bought a 65 Lemans convertible, but the top was ripped to shreds. I bought a new one out of the Sears catalog for about $150. I ended up selling the car to someone else before I ever tackled the top, as I realized the project was way beyond my capabilities. Amazing that you could get nearly everything at Sears back then.

That top install was pro level for sure. I have done a bmw top on a modern car, but in reality a lot easier than these classic tops.

I only had one "RagTop" my entire life... It was nice on warm sunny days... Cold, damp weather, not so much... When it started leaking... It was time for it to become someone else's headache!!! I wouldn't have a rag-top now if it was given to me!!!

I've never liked convertibles and watching the "black magic" that is adjusting the top just makes me hate 'em more. Nice cars, tho. Absolutely love that year of Comet with a hot had one.
