Gracias, gracias, gracias! I have been studying with you daily for over three months and I think your channel is the best there is of its kind. I have recommended you to many friends. Getting ready to drive all the way from Canada to Baja and hoping to have more than just a few greetings for this trip. Along with your channel I have been reading Spanish every day which has made a huge difference. Conversation is still a ways off for me but I feel I have learned so much and should be able to do more than just the basics. Spain in the fall!

When I first started learning Spanish on Duo I was confused but curious about this difference in the two languages. You are the first in many years to confront thhis incongruency. Thanks.

So much goodness in this video! Great to watch through once - and then again while taking notes. Incredible.

Best teacher ever especially for those students who have some knowledge of English grammar structures.
Necesito repasar mis lecciones de gramática en ingles.

One of your best videos, Paul. It explains so many things that I was confused about. ❤

Yeah, that was good. Thanks! En cuanto a lo de "by doing something", un día supe que "I started peeling the potatoes" no es "empecé pelando las papas", sino "empecé a pelar las papas".

This feels like a part summary of the other lessons in the gerund playlist...maybe it was recorded first and the others in the playlist took a deeper dive into some of these.
Not sure if that was intended but actually that would be really useful - a kind of short wrap up of the longer videos (maybe with just one example each). Would act as a refresher and summary in one. TY!

I've always been confused by this but you've cleared it up for me haha

Ohh that's why I've seen the infinite pop up in situations where no one specific is being talked about 😂

Strangely, this would be good tweaked a little bit also for teaching the ENGLISH gerund! :)
