the set A is also contained in the union of intervals (a-1, a+)U(a-2, a+2)U(a-3, a+3)... and infimum(by ur process) ia equal to

I am impressed by your teaching style, and got your points but can you tell me what is the difference bw measure and length of an interval

m*(A)<=m*(B) by using property of length of interval

Hello ma'am, can you help me with this query, please?
Let E be any non-empty set contained in R, then the following are equivalent:
(i) E is measurable.
(ii) Given > 0, there exists an open set O with OE with m*(O~E) < 
(iii) Given > 0, there exists a closed set F with EF with m*(E~F) < 
(iv) There exists a Borel set GG  with GE with m*(G~E) = 0
(v) There exists a Borel set FF  with EF with m*(E~F) = 0
