Granite Creek Copper - Explorer in Canada's Yukon - CEO Interview PDAC 2019
Показать описание
Tim Johnson, CEO of Granite Creek Copper has given a live interview to the Canadian business channel FTMIG durching the PDAC 2019 in Toronto.
Granite Creek Copper is the 3rd member of The Metallic Group of Companies, all following the same philosophy: Acquiring brownfield projects in a depressed price cycle of natural resources. Taking a systematic exploration approach instead of drilling to early. Bringing projects to reasonable inferred mineral resources and attracting majors already at this stage.
Copper is an essential metal used in electronics and housings. Demand should increase soon dramatically, so that bigger mining companies may require new mill feed.
Granite's Stu Copper Project lies on the string of the copper belt that hosts two well known copper deposits, Carmacks', which have a PEA already, and the Minto Mine in the north, which has been on care and maintenance lately. This mine used to be one of the highest grade copper mines in the world, graded 1,6% copper.
Tim Johnson sees chances that majors could take on all those three projects when time comes by. Big players, like Newmont, Agnico Eagle and formerly Goldcorp have been operating in the Yukon Territory successfully for a long time.
Granite Creek's objectives for the project in 2019 are compiling historic data, analysing soil samples and carrying out electromagnetic surveys. Although 4-8 were ready to be drilled Mr. Johnson would prefer doing some more ground work. Developing drill targets with higher confidence levels is the major goal for this year.
