The Orb of Dominance was the strongest item in the minecraft franchise, but we destroyed it in Minecraft Dungeons... or did we?

Interesting threory. A couple things though:

1. Minecraft Legends is well, a legend. A story slowly obscured over time. There are a couple things we should take note of. Minecraft Legends seems to be a religious story of a hero sent by their gods to stop the greedy piglins. How do we know it is religious? First, the piglins are oddly fitting with the 7 deadly sins. The devourer obviosly represents gluttony. The unbreakable has been said to be the most power hungry, so he could represent greed. The beast has literaly been said to be pridefull, so he represents pride. The great hog has been said to be the toughest, so tough that it is believed he was born from the lava, and therefore represent wrath. We don't know enough about the seer to really say what he represents. Now, ik what you may be thinking, "this is just 5 piglins" which is true, but there is a change they were planning to add more before the game died. Other pieces of evidence is the fact that none of the mounts, except for the horse, has ever appeared anywhere else other than legends, which makes me believe that they could be minecraft's version of mythical beasts. Next, the night beacon. The night beacon seems like it may actually be a corrupted beacon, with its effects actually coming from the pollution of the piglins factories, and the villagers may have put them together thought the beacon caused the pollution, which then eventually became the origin story of the night and the moon. Last, and most importantly, the fact the hosts leave at all highly suggest that they don't even exist to begin with. The hosts left to other worlds and never returned sounds like an answer as to why no one ever actually sees them, and therefore could have little to no use in theorizing.

2. Well that was a long first part. Now, the reason that the dungeons narrator uses the same voice actor as four sight may just be because they like the voice actor lol.

3. You forgot an important detail about the orb's shards, and that is the fact that they had put themselves back together into larger shards, likely being the 6 shards we destroy.

4. The orb of dominance is not its true form, and instead is the heart of ender (vengefull heart of ender may be the closest to its true true form).

5. The narrator is extremly reliable, and has said that we defeated the orb for good after we defeat the heart.

Hang on wait, if the command block is the orb of dominance, than maybe we can connect dungeons to story mode.
One thing that's always confused me about the wither storm is despite being the wither, it's design looks a lot more like something from the end, with it's completely black body and it's purple eyes, it kinda reminds me a bit of the heart of ender (which is a physical representation of the orb). So maybe the wither storm is a reincarnated heart of ender with the body of a wither.

Also this would explain why the wither storm disobeyed Ivor despite how he programed it. Once the wither storm came to live, it awakened the heart of ender, which took over from there, hence why what should've been a mindless monster was smart enough to protect the command block right as Jessie threw the potion.

Other theory: The gods in legends have one eye, two eyes and four eyes. What if there Was a fourth god, Ender? He may have created the eyes (that would explain why they are called "eyes of Ender" and not "eyes of the end" and the end portal. He later turned on the other gods, possibly due to corruption from the void, but lost. The orb is either a Fragment of him, a manifestation of his soul or an object that serves as a prison for him. Also the vengeful heart of ender has three eyes on its head that look different from the others, possibly because of Ender being the third god with three eyes. This would also explain that the orb talks and its powers. In the book it also said that the arch illager, when he touched the orb, looked at the land from above, but not through his eyes, through the eyes of a god. Btw. most of this isnt my original idea and is from Xantrix, a minecraft Youtuber.

The problem though with command blocks is that they cannot be obtained in Survival mode, which based on the previous games is implied to be the most canon gamemode, anything made with commands being your own separate narratives.

Though there is one last game where it did appear in a survival...ish... world, Minecraft Story Mode, I think that was the only _real_ command block in the Minecraft universe perhaps made with the remaining fragments of the orb, collected together after many years finally gotten rid of once and for all in the form of the Wither Storm, I mean, ever wonder why the mob whos only colours normally are black, white and blue gained purple beams? The orbs influence would be the only logical explanation...
It also explains why it absorbs the world into itself, one final act of vengeance against the hosts, consuming the very world they worked so hard to create and entrusted the humans to protect!

the ones we make are just summoned with godlike powers of creative mode in a fashion similar to the hosts making the original orb.

5:02 so does that mean that Minecraft story mode could be canon.

While there clearly is somthing going on between the Hosts and the Heart of Ender, I think the Heart of Ender actually came before the Hosts.

I like your theory, but I do have one bit of alternative evidence that in the vanilla game it is gone. The six shards are a result of the orb trying to piece itself back together.

In the scene right after saving Archie, a storm kicks up and shows the orb begin to reconstruct pieces. Maybe the reconstruction resulted in them finding a sort of divided consciousness and moving at their own accord? Just a suggestion

I recommend you using the new wiki, because the part of the orb of dominance "emerging from a portal between worlds and making war and such" was not actually in The Rise of the Arch-Illager, it was something someone made up or just assumed.
The new wiki tells all we currently know about the orb of dominance before Minecraft Dungeons, being at the hands of The Seer and being used to corrupt a beacon, according to the legend.

Happy to see one of few people who actually care about Hosts, I love these characters so much and want to do some animations with them in the future :D
LONG THEORIST YAPPING WARNING
My theory about Orb's origin is a little bit different. There is a mention that Heart of Ender is just a manifestation of the Orb. But what if the truth is the other way around; both the many-armed giant Enderman top and the Orb are just forms of the giant void centipede thing we call Vengeful Heart of Ender? Sure, it might be the case where final boss of non-DLC content is the true peak, and centipede is just 24/30 form. But something tells me that the centipede is closest to what the Orb used to be. You see in the final non-DLC map, Heart of Ender has these weird sparkles, similar to ones of the Hosts when in Overworld. My theory is that Ender was once a Host itself, but somehow it became corrupted and became the way it is. That would make some sense if we believe that Ender made the void between realms less de*void* (hehe) of content, or in other words, created the End.
(The part in the video about some shards surviving would make sense, especially that in a post-vanilla Minecraft fic I'm making I plan to make Heart of Ender return even after its defeat in the Dungeons-themed season. Don't tell anyone on PMC tho, this is a big plot theme [?] in it 👀)

I noticed the forsight and dungeons thing as soon as I saw the first legends trailer. The voice is in the movie teaser too. Another theory satets that the heart of ender is actually the fourth host, what is interesting to me is the overworld variant of the orb seen in the movie. Forsight's voice and an overworld version of the orb? Perhaps it would comfirm the theory.

2:14 something I find interesting about this description is that it seems very much implied that the End WASN’T the intended destination of the end portal, it’s a realm BETWEEN those locations, the “endless void between worlds”. If that’s the case, where was it intended to go? To the place where the creators are? I’ve heard some theories before that they’re the ones who narrate the end poem, which would make sense of it playing upon continuing past the end, and then they simply send you home because you aren’t ready for them.
