When you reached number one and still hadn't mentioned the China O'Brien set, I was flabbergasted. Then, I remembered that you had a release in the UK by Eureka, so hopefully it makes it on that list! I think the only VS releases I got this year were that set and Lady Reporter, though I do like Phase IV, Navy Seals, and Congo. I really still need to check out Southern Comfort. I also do want to see the others you mentioned, including the gialli, Santet films, and Singapore Sling. Many of their releases are movies that I probably want to see, but they are not necessarily ones I want to own and watch multiple times. Also, as a side note, I think of the dozen or so movies that VS put out that I own, half are Cynthia Rothrock movies.

As you say, a couple of releases there that already have versions from other labels, albeit not in 4k - Phase IV and Southern Comfort - but glad to hear you liked Santet and Singapore Sling as those were the two VS titles I picked up in Subscriber week. Due for delivery by April 2031.

Forgotten Gialli v6

I haven't bought VS release of the Tenant yet but I have seen it and think it's a gem. I'm also waiting on my copy of the Keep to show up.

I traded in my copy of Santet and now I kind of regret it because it Was fun. And with so many positive (like yours) reviews of Congo, it's making me think of giving it a shot, something I normally wouldn't go near. I just wish I could get the blu ray alone because I'm not set up for 4K. And if VS releases a standard edition of Side Roads, I'm a gonna be-a pickin' that one up as well.
I tried watching Singapour Sling but had to exit with the vomit scene. Maybe I should try again and just siip over that scene to see it to the end.

It’s a pity they aren’t making Sideways a bit more widely available.

Odd for someone who has resubscribed but definitely VS’s weakest year in my memory.

However they did finish strong with releasing two long sought after titles The Keep & especially Looking For Mr Goodbar.
Forgotten Gialli 6 was by a mile my favourite 2024 release, especially as FG#5 was so weak.

Staying with Gialli I had a blast with Delerium: Photo of Gioia

Other highlights for me were Sexmission, which was one of my white whales. Spanish Bloodbath was pretty decent. Also glad to see The Tenant again.

Vinegar Syndrome have got the whole marketing "shiny object" thing to a tee, they release 3/10 films and put a shiny slipcover and crap you don't need to see on the disc and hey presto! A "new" film!" Eh..."£25 please" There's a fool born every minute.
