Nate I would use a hole saw to drill your holes with the bit you are using don’t work so well in a hand drill.

That white oak is tough! Beautiful sugar shacks at the end. A common theme with maple farming seems to be “family.” Lots of multi-generations in those photos.

Out here in ohio, all the maple people know Nate. I was at my neighbor's sugar shack and mentioned Bissell Maple Farm and he knew who they were too. Not because of youtube but because of Nate.
