I love this different type of video! This is an emotional song and I relate to it a lot. You can hear he feels what he is singing. And of course I've heard of your song "So Selfish." I love it and literally listen to it every night! The way you sang it and the lyric video almost does make one feel that it really is "a song for someone you trusted". On another note, I know you said that one video of the 3 songs didn't get as many views as you wanted it to, But I still really hope you'll make a full version of "What's The Point." Of the people that voted, including myself, around 83% picked that song to be made into a full version. Honestly Joel, "What's The Point" really showcases your raw naturally beautiful voice. I think music is just a big circle. It always comes back around to the same ideas, the same melodies, the same sound overall. It’s such a breath of fresh air when you actually hear something original, though I am a fan of sampled and inspired tracks as well. Max Martin did some crazy good stuff with Ariana’s album that I hadn’t heard from him before. That man knows how to produce amazeballs music.

This Benson’s simple/quite rough rock song seems to me like a fresh air - just stands out in current era of overproduced, sterile-clean or „plastic” pop songs. Reminds me much of Kings of Leon debute some years ago (not particular KoL song, but overall vibe). And I truly hope that more rock/rockish songs will appear in the mainstream pretty soon! I think that music is never like "new". It just re invents it self. It uses the same vocal, production styles similiar melodies, and in some songs even the same chord progression but transposed. It just has a tint of moderness to it.
This type of roomie videos just make my day. As a music student I certainly get a large bit of my education from you😂.

He's only 21 as has the same birthday as me....

And I never listened to this song until I randomly listened to it yesterday. As soon as the song ended, I put it on repeat and is now on the top of my playlist next to Olivia Rodrigos "Obsessed" from Guts Spilled. When he hit the high notes, I actually started to cry. His voice is truly amazing and there's a reason it's on the charts.
