Dream Daughter is so FANTASTIC! I read this in Dec'18 and it was by far my favorite. I did not want to say goodbye to the characters. Just Beautiful💜

Wow! I agree with you, Dream Daughter was an excellent book, I totally got caught up in it! I also enjoyed rereading, after many, many years, Gone With The Wind, I enjoyed it so much more ad an older adult! You've got me wanting to read Stillhouse Lake, Home After Dark, and Sundown Motel, all of which I own!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful, safe and happy new year!! 😊🎉❤

The Dream Daughter is my #1 favorite of the year! I read Stillhouse Lake last year. Loved it. I have one more to read in the series. I was so sad to learn that she passed away this year.

I am so glad you loved The Starless sea!! I thought it was beautiful and so many did not like it. I still need to read Home before dark.. The sun Down Hotel was one of my top ten too!! My first Simone St. James it will not be my last!!

Time travel is definitely my buzz word. Just finished reading A Murder in time by Julie McElwain it's the first book in a 5 book series. Modern day time travel to the 18th century and murder mystery it was soo good. Had a feeling I would love it thankfully have got the next 3 books in the series to continue on with.

If we can take anything out of this insane year, it was that we read some fantastic books. My #1 and 2 are actually the same as yours, but reversed. The Sun Down Motel has stuck with me since reading it in March. Haunting me, if you will. ;) The Dream Daughter was just lovely and heartbreaking and perfect. I haven't finalized my list, so these are in no particular order: The Lost Girls of Paris, Beach Read, Becoming, The Starless Sea, Girl Meets Duke series, The Flatshare, Still Missing and Cilka's Journey. Though these are subject to change when I sit down to actually do a page in my reading journal for them. lol.

My favorites were: No Exit, The Castle on Sunset, Dear Edward, The Kiss Quotient, Reconstructing Amelia, Beach Read, Nerves of Steel, Flat Share, The Summer House and my favorite is...'All the Light We Cannot See'.

I'm still so conflicted on Beach Read vs. Sundown Motel....but leaning towards being scared to death!

My #1 for the year is The Vanishing Half but The Dream Daughter is right behind it. I started listening to the Dream Daughter and about half way through my 16yr old got hooked.
