Here are the headlines for the day:
1. The Narcotics Control Bureau's crackdown on the drug mafia that is prevalent in Mumbai. The Sushant Singh Rajput death case has opened up Pandora's box. While on one hand, Rhea Chakraborty is under the scanner of the NCB for procurement and consumption of drugs, on the other, the NCB watchdog has decided to probe the Bollywood A-list for alleged drug use.
2. The Bollywood drug network is now under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau, not only is the video from 2019 which was recorded in Karan Johar's party but also links of Bollywood A-listers with the arrested drug peddlers is now under the scanner of the Narcotics agency.
3. The BMC on September 18 filed a reply in the high court on the Bollywood actress’ petition. The BMC said that the compensation amount of Rs 2 crore sought by Kangana Ranaut for the damages is an “abuse of law”. The civic body also said that the court must impose a cost on her for filing such a plea.
4. The income tax department is probing soul sleuth affidavits of Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray which reveal multiple contradictions in terms of bank deposits and investments inherited.
