One of the greatest blues of all time. Freddie was never better. Dolphy was out of this world.

First Dolphy song I ever heard at a friend’s apartment about 1986, when cutout bins in record stores were stuffed with great albums that nobody was buying, it seemed. I said, “This is the kind of music I’ve been looking for oh for so very long.” And this is conservative Dolphy. LOL. See <Out to Lunch> for details.

When I first heard the opening barsto this song my head twisted around like Lind Blair's in "The Exorcisst". NOBODY sounds like that.
