I still love my compact Victrola Eastwood (original unit) record player (with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver) sent to me very generously by Record-ology a few Christmases ago and to honour my friend, I play Glenn Miller albums on it as well as plenty of other records and I'm still thinking about buying a 78rpm stylus/cartridge, but in the meantime I have enjoyed playing LPs and 45s. :)

Just got this yesterday for Christmas and I LOVE it. Only problem im having now is when I push in the knob to change the audio from vinyl, to vinyl stream, and then bluetooth....it gets stuck on bluetooth won't switch back to vinyl mode.... driving me nuts

If I were a vinyl newbie, I would look at your other reviews to determine which record player I'd choose. I think most of your viewers would agree. I know that $100.00 is not much, but I would know that my money is being well spent.

You did sound disappointed that it didn't sound as good as the portable Revolution Go. Sound is what we cherish.

Additional Comment: with the addition of a platter mat it might solve the issue of the record sitting lower than expected. Just a thought. (It might not be possible to close the lid with this in mind though).

Considering they've put a magnetic cartridge in this model you would think they'd also put in better speakers, it looks large enough to fit bigger speakers inside. Without the damping maybe they were worried a large bass speaker might cause feedback through the tone arm. Maybe at some point they'll build one that has this improved cartridge with the speaker system from the Re-Spin you featured recently.

My friend has just bought one after having a record collection but no player, for many years. She didn't want to spend much money, and she doesn't have space for a full hifi kit, so she thought this would be suitable. I just think there must be a better alternative at that price point, but I don't know much about players in that price range.

You should try out the Mykesonic record player. Yes, it's pricier but better. I have one of them. The sound is great!!

Would love if you used a pair of reference affordable powered speakers like a pair of edifiers or fluance or the likes that you could connect these type of record players to .. to be part of your overall testing... To get a full range of how good it Personal experience.. with my son's Crosley suitcase hooked up to a pair of Bose companion speakers it's night and day.... Same with our Victrola Empire Mid Century... Hooked to a pair of Edifiers and it's fantastic...

My auto stop kicks in and shuts the record off with pretty much an entire song left. My 33 1/3 speed spins at 30RPM. Trying to learn how to adjust it.

I just got this one for my son and it doesn't get very loud. Also it makes a loud beep every time he turns the dial.

I think this is just the Eastwood restyled. They do offer an Eastwood Signature for $150 that looks like the original Eastwood, but with improved speakers. It still doesn't sound as good as the Revolution Go, but it's close.

whats that blue record you put? do you consider the suitcase victrola would be the same quality for half the price?
