A slightly different topic today - not so much on jewelry production but more on how the industry has evolved to become a more inclusive of women having more opportunities to stand out; not only on leading positions as a creative jewelry designer, but also in technical ones (artisans, craftmanship at our manufacturing plant).

It's been amazing to see more and more empowered female customers approach us at Thai Design aiming to start their Jewelry brand and we're excited to see an increase in diversity in the future!

Very enlightening video! I left my IT career in 2020 due to the demand of caring for my disabled twins. I started a jewelry company in Aug (2021) & am glad I stumbled across your page!

Hi Kim, thanks, great video.I find that in the UK, as you said a lot of men who make up the majority of workers in the jewellery industry, they tend to be setters, mounters, polishers, engravers etc, where as women in the industry tend to be general benchworkers, in sales or contemporary jewellery designers.
One major apparent fact is that the industry lacks people of colour especially women of colour.
