Thanks, I was going to order a whole wire kit to replace the existing cable. My vacuum cleaner only worked when the cable was fully stretched out. It turned out to be a break in the wire, about 5cm from the connection into the machine. So I cut the wire about 10 cm in and reconnected the new ends into the vacuum cleaner.
Works with no issues now
