My pet bunny does this. Sometimes when excited he just up and bounces off every surface of his enclosure. It's completely spasmodic, violent, and random. Funny thing is, if I'm around when it happens, when he's done he scowls and thumps at me like it's my fault.

French swordsmen in the middle ages complained about British swordsmen as being overly aggressive and random with their swordsmanship. They complained it was no technique but in reality the randomness and aggressiveness gave their opponents less time to react and they scored a lot of victories in duels.

A hare once got stuck in front of my while I was cycling down a country back road. It kept missing every obvious means of escape, now I know why. In the end I stopped my bike to let it get well ahead of me and exit the road.
