Eco protesters complain of heavy-handed police arrests

During a protest march in Mannheim, Germany, Last Generation supporters were kicked and hit in the face by an angry driver.

A German Just Stop Oil protest group called Letzte Generation, Last Generation, has recently been blocking traffic in many German cities by sitting in the middle of the road at junctions.

A US Congressman made a point about the stupidity of such people. He said that they should give up every item made of plastic derived from petroleum - so no glasses, no shoes, no modern clothing, no phone, and none of the modern conveniences that we take for granted.
Personally, I'd like to see them attempt to live in a place without plastics and oil - I'm pretty sure that most of them don't know how to do any non-tech jobs at all and would perish trying to survive.
