You don’t often see a puzzle that has a different set up every time you solve the it. Some other ones that come into mind are Rubik’s cube and solitaire cards. Sudoku also has more than one set up but that cannot be created randomly.

I wonder if as part of the solve you're "allowed" to move the dice to a different square with the same marking, or if once you place the dice they are locked and the intended solution is to solve with them in those specific spots.

Feels like this needs a proof of if every configuration is solvable (with or without flipping). Might be fun for someone to make a program to check.

This is a lot like a set of puzzle games called the Genius Square and Genius Star. Very fun.

Hmmm I guess because there are changing solutions I think of it more as a game than a puzzle. Maybe I've been solving more puzzles than I thought
