It was also a song that was popularized during the French revolution, behind them was the building where Marie Antoinette was held before she was executed, and they had a wax figure of her holding her head. They fought hard for their freedom and they are proud of it. For us Americans this is like singing the national anthem at a baseball game. What they did wasn’t satanic. It was patriotic. Exactly how the opening ceremony should be. 🇫🇷

It genuinely makes me wonder what makes people think that metal is satanic. I mean, yes there can be songs that are satanic, but the genre as a whole isn't aside from those. I haven't listened to the performance personally, but I know that this is huge for the metal community.
