JPEGMAFIA performed at the venue I used to work at and it was really strange. Not the show or the music, but the crowd. He was just wandering around the building before his show, walking right past the people lining up to see him and none of them noticed he was there. It was almost like he wanted to make a personal connection with his fans, but they didn't even know he was there. It wasn't like he was hiding either. He had a hoodie on but it wasn't like his face was covered or anything. Then, when we went in to clean up after the show, it was like a sea of plastic water bottles. I've never seen so many. There was free water in jugs on the bar but they all bought the bottled stuff. I don't know what he did to make them so thirsty in comparison to every other act that played there.

Anthony, I just want to genuinely say thank you for introducing me to JPEGMAFIA. His music is getting me through some really hard times right now and LP! (tied with Sonidos de Karmatica) is my favorite album of 2021. (With Call me If You Get Lost, Sometimes I Be Introvert, Scaled and Icy, Melodic Blue, and Mercury 1 following.)

The things you criticize on Blue Banisters is the stuff I like the most. Lana's imperfect and emotional vocals are really refreshing and powerful. Dealer is an instant favorite of mine and I would love to see more pop artists like her eschew immaculate production for more stuff like it.

Not all the time forever mind you, but the willingness to do it here and there is all I need.

(I haven't spent much time listening to Yoko Ono personally.)

I didn't expect my comment to get featured here. I began watching your channel in early October and I absolutely love how you review albums (especially your Let's Argue series)

I agree that the instrumentation is a major problem, and while simple Ed is a better Ed, I can definitely see that he's in a happier place in life. Similar to how I feel about Chris Martin's decline in quality with his recent Coldplay albums, I can say that both artists are happier than when they started.

I'm hopeful they'll take an active stride in making a better album especially on the instrumentation side of things, but I think it'll be hard since it's not coming from a place that's incentivizes an emotional display of heartfelt songwriting and sounds (outside of Supermarket Flowers or Visiting Hours)
