If you accidentally violated the rules of a possessed party favor, allowing ghosts to infest your life and the lives of those around you, what would you do?

I’m going to break down the mistakes made, what you should do, and how to beat the CURSED HAND in TALK TO ME.

I watched a few videos on the movie, but I think you're the first person who mentions how Mia had horrible friends and no support system, which is partially why she makes such irrational choices. She isn't smart, but having a support system or getting therapy after her mother's passing would have helped her. It's really nice that you mentioned it. People who don't have a good support system tend to turn to harmful substances, but can eventually recover with proper help.

I'm watched 2 different people make a how to beat for this. The 1st basically belittled Mia while this one is a lot more empathetic and blames the people around her more than just her. Really showed me two differing mindsets.

What’s funny is I watched this with my family and not one person caught the “it’s okay, I don’t feel alone anymore” line. I knew IMMEDIATELY what was happening, but they all just went “awwwe”, like it was a sweet moment haha

I don’t get really fazed by deaths or gore in movies, but man, what happened to that kid had me standing up and pacing, every possessed scene with him was egregious.

How to beat it: Don't play around with the hand. Alternatively, don't get too close to the 90-second limit. If the limit is 90 seconds, stop the ritual at around 60 seconds to ensure you have enough time to break contact in case the spirits try to keep you attached to the hand.

Mia felt lonely and desperate. I'm glad you talked about how jade and her family turned their back on her.... but also still can understand because that's her little brother and Mia was selfish.

Weird how.... compassionate Nerd was with this one. Every other horror MC gets the "The HELL you doing, dumbass?!" treatment, there was a weird level of "look, I get it, but you need to get a handle on this" to this video for poor Mia, lol

I appreciate how sympathetic you are to Mia's situation. I feel like a lot of how to beaters presume a superhuman degree of logic and will. Most people die to illogical and fairly benign stuff every day - no one can be a high-functioning robot all the time. It's nice to hear from someone who is both willing to engage with the allegory and empathizes with the characters. S-tier video dude 💖

The ending reminds me of that one movie where a family thinks their house is haunted, only to find out they’re the ghosts haunting their house. I think it’s always interesting to see the other side of the story

The amount of people who think they can logic themselves out of pain, grief, and mourning is astounding. The need to numb often overrides self-preservation.
How to survive? A decent social support system and a good therapist

You were so compassionate and this video helped me see that Mia really had no true connections even with her so called bestie. She didn't even show up to her mom's memorial or answer any of her calls, and then she didn't even apologize or explain what she had been doing (it didn't even look like she was doing anything). Really the only person who saw and cared about Mia was Riley.
She was really selfish for using him as a medium for what she thought was her mom, but that tragedy really showed where she stood with people. Even Sue immediately dropped her from the "family."

This video made me realize there were two ghost Mia saw. First the old man and then the drowning woman. I wonder if she didn’t let go the first time and let the old man possess her, maybe he wasn’t a malicious spirit and it would’ve been a normal possession like everyone else at those parties. Just made me think

I think if Mia had gone to therapy in the first place this whole situation could have been beaten. When her mother had unalived herself, especially if her caring father had brought the note, she could have processed that trama with a trained professional and there would have been no open “doors” for the ghost/demon to latch on to. I’m not exactly sure why no one in her life, no counselors at school, no one thought this girl would need some therapy? A lot of times this is why addiction take hold in the first place. She should have gotten help from the get go.

Just a small correction, the party at the end is not _"a party of French people, "_ they are actually Greek. What the guy sitting next to the one that is grabbing the hand with Mia says is *_"ελα ρε πες το"_*_ (ela re, pes to)_ which translates into _"come on, say it!"_

Actually, jade pushed mia to the traffic, you have to watch frame by frame to see it, mia could not kill riley for the same reason she didn't kill the kangaroo, so she let him go and at that moment jade comes by and pushes her
