Your segways are so smooth, I don't even want to walk again. I just discovered your channel. Unique approach to tutorials. You have a new sub.

When it comes to all frequencies between 3k and 5k, especially on guitars, beware of how much you cut.
If you remove too much, some other bell will become annoying.
An exapmle is right here on this video.
At 4:03, when the first resonance was cut that much, another one appears and it sounds even worse.

Oh my god... That 4k frequency on guitars!!!
Something that truly can never be unheard.

Thanks so much man, I'm making backing tracks and I'm trying to mix them myself but I find it hard to recognise the spots on the EQ that make it sound so shitty, this helps a lot!

My favorite info vids on YouTube. Short and sweet and just enough flair.

My favorite thing you said, sometimes you listen to old mixes you’ve done and now see that you could have improved them so much with better eq… I love that, that is sooo true. I have done this exact thing. We all are always looks for new and better tricks, but literally… a great EQ knowledge & ear goes beyond what most would expect.

I love how direct and informative these videos are. I don't think I've been looking at the 300 range on my bass track so I will go do that now!

Thank you!! Noticed I was making the same EQ moves frequently, and this gave me confirmation I'm not totally crazy... and gave me a new frequency range to pay attention too. Again... THANK YOU.

Also, don't know if you feel this or not, but lately I've been describing 4K as a swarming cicada sound. All up in the cymbals in my live recordings.

Right as the 700 hz example started, a trash truck outside started backing up, and I was like "🤯 this foo's not playing! 🤯" I'll keep an eye on that frequency now. Thanks!

This was pretty helpful - I'm doing vocals mainly and the game changer for me was not cutting past 10, 000Khz other wise it would get boxier and boxier until it muffles and cutting always cutting 80-100hz on the low end 🎉

Thanks for the info. I will be testing the numbers (frequencies) in the stuff I have done.
