The answer is cow floaties that allow them to get sea weed directly.

Here in Norway we have actually installed contraptions that measure each cows methane "production." This is actually used to breed for livestock with lower methane "production."

I find this study truly fascinating, but how the heck did anyone find out that by feeding seaweed to cows the amount of methane they produce is reduced???! Seriously, wtf? We need more people like that in our planet.

Years ago I saw a book called Everyday Wisdom by Crane. It had been written back in the 1800's sometime. One of the blurbs in there read "Smart politicians build sidewalks where people already walk, not build them in the desirable place and then try to force people to walk there."
Keep that in mind when talking about people giving up meat for climate change. I will not be walking that path.

Honestly sounds better to just synthesize artificial dairy and meat to cut out the middle man(or cow)

While I'm glad we are trying to tackle this issue, I'd hope scishow wouldn't continue to perpetuate the frankly childish notion that most cows are freely roaming fields and grazing. If we are going to agree that the meat and dairy industry is an issue, we can't pretend that factory farming is not reality. Ps, I'm not a vegan and will also eat beef once every few weeks.

most cows are actually fed low grade corn mixed with proteins and wheat products all mixed into a mush, I'm sure if they were all free range they would have much less methane.
