Thank you so much for creating this space for discussion, Rachel. I dropped out of my bachelor in engineering 9 years ago to start my business. Recently I learned that an undergraduate degree is not a hard requirement for Stanford’s MBA, so I started digging deeper on this topic.

Now I know that Tuck and LBS also admit students without prior degrees. It’s not that it is easy, but it’s possible. So I’ll try my best.

I’m reaching out to several MBA Admissions Committees and most of them say that they do require a bachelor’s degree. But many also say that they would accept a 3- year bachelor’s degree or equivalent. So this may be an option for some people reading this.

I have more than 13 years experience as IT/Developer but I do not have an undergraduate degree. I got a conditional offer for MsC. I did not go through an interview just provided them lots of references 1 from former school, 1 from my direct superior and 2 from colleagues with good position in the company I'm working with. I also provided them my resume and a cover letter telling them why I want to study. My conditions are UKVI assessment, deposit and english test.

I can totally relate to your feelings, that's exactly what I'm feeling right now. I feel so insecure sometimes, I overthink sometimes.

What if they kick me out if they realized I did complete any degree? I don't feel qualified.

But looking back how I work hard and learn everything from scratch, the effort and determination I put through my work. I can say I've come a long way and I deserve a degree just like everyone else who finished an undergraduate course.

I got into MSc in General Psychology @University of Roehampton and finish in 2021 without a bachelors. However, the caveat is I had over 5 yrs of experience in school counselling and diploma in teaching but many university in UK will welcome applications into MSc

I did this for my doctorate. No previous degrees, just a hodgepodge of coursework from half a dozen universities. All I had to do was apply and have some interviews about my preparation. They just need to know that you are capable of doing research. I had no issues getting accepted to multiple universities. I started by taking a few courses on research methods, a few electives in my specialty area, then began my research during my second year.

So my first degree was an EngD in 2012, then back in 2016 I went back part-time for my MBA and finished in 2019. I'm actually now going back to school for a bachelor's in music theater. I'm doing it in the opposite order you're supposed to, haha.

Well, an MBA seems to be an exception, they prioritise real world experience more than academics, I guess. What I want is CS and that seems to be different
