Tennis star Novak Djokovic has been deported from Australia after a federal court upheld his visa's cancellation over his vaccination status. He had been initially scheduled to play in the Australian Open, which kicks off Monday. However, Australian officials require everyone coming into the country to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and Djokovic remains unvaccinated. Djokovic did not qualify for entry to Australia and he falsified his documents (blamed his team for the "mistake"). The fact is most tennis fans agree with the deportation. Australians have to abide by the rules so does Djokovich.

The Court decision to deport him was based on assumption that Djokovic`s presence could spread an “antivax” sentiment in Australia. In other words, he is thread to the fight against Covid. So, someone who had donated more than 2 mil. eur to fight Covid, in at least 3 countries (Serbia, Italy, Spain) is perceived as the greatest enemy of the fight against disease. And public figures, journalists and commentators in all the world's forums are racing to insult him more.

Sounds like the real issue is whether money or being truthful is more important. Australia has its rules so he had a choice to make, get vaccinated and play, or don't and don't play. Being famous sometimes makes people forget that they aren't gods and need to respect the laws of the country that they are guests in, just like its citizens.
