Turing was a genius but there were many other unsung geniuses at Bletchley Park who contributed equally to the breakthroughs in traffic analysis (that we call analytics today) and the foundations of modern computing: eg Gordon Welchman, Max Neumann, Bill Tuttle, plus the other approx. 10, 000 men and women who worked at Bletchley and shortened the war by up to 2 years, thereby saving literally millions of lives. Some of them, like Turing and Welchman, were subsequently ruined by government departments seeking to preserve the secrecy of their work. We owe them a huge (I mean huge) debt of gratitude.
