I watch a lot of football. Hundreds of games a year. But I don't watch the Olympic football. It's not the best quality, it's go no real jeopardy, and it just seems that the IOC have put the sport in the Olympics to make money and have influence. We’ve got much, much, better completions all over the world already. They don't need football in the Olympics.

The ruling of professionals also severely affected Hockey for the Olympics and took Canada out of almost 6-8 Olympics for Hockey leading to the Soviets domination on the international stage until the 1972 Summit Series where Canada showed Soviets were only winning each year because Canada was too good to be in the Olympics and their was a reason for no professionals compared to today where professionals can be found around the world rather than Canada and the US for Hockey
