Love how Pete called out the chord progression intro. Also, glad to have Pete on more. His playing is original & melodic, unlike the same shredding scales in the past. The Cpt's & his playing meld well together too.

Lee's playing has improved sooo much in the last 12 months or so. Some of the licks and phrasings he plays here (and on various recent videos) are absolutely beautiful. More power to you Captain, keep bringing your A-game!

Lee, I have to say with all honesty that your soloing abilities have come to the point where I actually enjoy your style more than most others. Please take this as a compliment. Very gifted and I can tell that you feel what you play as opposed to just slamming out some fast scales and a bend. Well done sir.

Pete is so weird in a great way... I find him endlessly entertaining! Every time the Captain gets caught off guard by his comments, he takes a metaphorical sip from a cup of tea 😂 makes me chuckle!

Songs you can sing on top of that opening jam:
- Boulevard of broken dreams
- Wonderwall
- All Star

Small point of criticism on the blindfod testing: Pete has to assess them AFTER he already played them. It's is rather a test of recognition than one of judgment. IMHO blindfold testing should judge quality, playability, sound etc. without knowing the brand, it should not be about guessing the right brand.

Much more enjoyable demos with Pete. Lee's playing has improved vastly. I do think that his playing melds better Pete's as well. Pete is a much more mature, disciplined and Multi-dimensional player than Rob. Don't get me wrong, Rob is a very good guitarist, but I grow weary of his, In your face over gained one dimensional playing very quickly. Keep Pete!!!!

My first "proper" guitar was (and still is) my 1956 Special. We met when we were both 20 years old and have been happily married for more than 40 years now. Glad to see this faithful recreation!

4:50 That's one version of events. Another is that they were trying to replicate the Butterscotch Blonde colour that Fender were using for the Broadcaster and Tele, which they nicknamed "Telecaster Version" Yellow. The name TV Yellow accidentally went into production so they used the story about white guitars on TV as an excuse after the fact.

I’ve had the Epiphone Junior - Dog ear for a few weeks now. I picked it up originally with the idea of using it as a bit of a ‘Banger’, as I don’t want to take my ‘Posh’ guitars out too often. AIso I wanted a guitar my kids could play. Problem is, I really love it. So much so, I’m afraid to bang it and I’m afraid my kids will have to wait until I find something else.

I am so proud of Lee for how tasteful and more outside of his comfort zone his playing is getting! Makes me happy to watch

Again thank you for this kind of videos, pretty enlightening!
But please, just as an honest opinion: don't you think there's no point in taking the test after you play the guitars?
Could you please do the video by doing a face to face between a Gibson Firebird and the new Epiphone Firebird?

I am so glad that my lefty Epiphone Special has the correct bridge. I like the idea of the compensated bridge but the angle of the smooth one looks so much better and works just fine.

No Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop with P90 pickups though...

I played one of those Epiphone Special's tonight, and it's absolutely wonderful. I also played the Junior, which sounded virtually identical to the Special when played on the bridge PU. I ended up trying a couple of other P90 guitars, including a couple that were almost twice the price, and kept going back to the Epiphone. I found both pickups had their own character, that they both had incredible warmth, and that the "fat" 50's neck was super comfortable for lead lines, and felt fine for chords as well.

It's refreshing to play something that's not "Slim Taper".
