I was watching "My Vinyl Weighs A Ton" and caught wind of Dam-Funk...whoa!  This is some hot funk for sure!  I know it's a 2009 release, but my late ass just purchased on iTunes...LOL. Now it's on heavy rotation. Big ups STONES THROW.

Saw him this saturday at splash festival, Germany. He rocked a small crowd of about two hundred people, jumped in the stage with his keyboard and took the time to make some small talk with everyone afterwards AND the show itself was awesome. Great musician

Thanks to Snoop I have become a fan of Dam Funk, didn't know about him until I heard the song with him and Snoop and now I am up on Dam Funk, this is too smooth!

Finally some youngsters that pay homage and respect to the old school while at the same time have their own flava, appeal and contribution to the bigger picture....hell yeah!!! Why can't everybody tell stories with their videos anymore? A lot of story, soul and imagery with minimal budget and effects. Great editting and videography as well. Great work.

i think the music video is metaphoric for being able to look into yourself and realizing who you are as an individual and as a person and to realize what your dreams are and to work to achieve them.
the world that all these people are in is like their individual minds, and the sleeping bodies are like the dreams and individualities and dam funk comes up and lights start flashin and music starts bumpin and now everyone is dancin and shit and eventually their whole "mind" is immersed in this light
