For noobs: in this case, H5 is totally an acceptable and decent move (even if not optimal).

White starts with an advantage as he can be the first to lay claim to central control. G3 lets go of that. So black has the advantage now to first claim the centre. Since magnus claimed side space with h5, he's not worse. He's just restarted the eval to return to white having that initial first mover advantage despite the bad first move (g4).

So magnus didnt make a bullshit move, he just told the opponent (i dont need the headstart you gave me)
