Republican demands 'civil war' if Donald Trump loses election

A speaker at JD Vance’s campaign rally in Middletown, Ohio, has said America might descend into civil war if Donald Trump loses the presidential election in November.

George Lang, a Republican state senator in Ohio, told the crowd that he believed “wholeheartedly” that the Trump-Vance ticket was the “last chance to save the country”.

“I’m afraid if we lose this one, it’s going to take a civil war to save the country –and it will be saved,” Lang said.
