'Small objects are a choking hazard to her.'
My man just murdered that dude.

Story 1. As a man if I was the EX I would be beyond humiliated by the sister behavior and be begging her to stop this insanity.
Story 2. If a woman tells you she is married and you think she is just lying to you to get you to go away, GO AWAY!!!

No means no, regardless of marital status. Single women have JUST as much right to be free from harassment as a married woman. Hell, that applies to EVERYBODY, not just women!

What kind of person introduces their wife as their housewife and skips over her actual name? Even if she didn't work, it's like introducing her as his servant. It I'd start laughing too

"Small objects are a choking hazard to her"
Now that's a lot of damage!

Genuinely confused by some of the comments saying the OP should have been wearing a ring. I know a lot of married couples who don't even have rings. But also, she said no more than once. A ring shouldn't matter nor should her status as single or married. Also what if someone is in a relationship but don't believe in marriage? Does that suddenly make them fair game because they aren't legally attatched?

You are free to wear a wedding ring if you want. There is no law, policy, etc, that says a wedding ring is mandatory. Half my coworkers are married and don’t wear theirs.

I may or may not be the only person to think that the OP's sister might have had some weird fetish/kinks/desire revolving around siblings. Sure, it would be really cute and cool to have you and your sister date your boyfriend and his brother, but going that far to make your own sister's life miserable is slightly messed up in my opinion. Let the poor girl date who she wants to and marry who she wants to, don't just force their interactions and matchmake them almost 20 years after they've broken up because you ship them and you think they'd be cute being couples like you and your husband.

Man I would have walked out at the intervention. That was completely uncalled for. Sounds like the OP did the right thing. The mom and sister sound "BSC"

The last story had me, like i did't spend 5 years of my life with lack of sleep and poor eating habits for you to tell others I'm a housewife.. nahhhh

Story 1: It's so nice to see at least part of the family backing the OP up. It seems the mom has a favorite daughter and will side with her no matter how crazy she acts. Unfortunately with these stories, no matter how obvious it is when someone is in the wrong, people usually side with whom they like more rather than the person who is actually in the right. It is so refreshing to see that her father and brother understand the sister is crazy and don't just back her up like the mom.

story 3: if my husband pulled anything like that i would humiliate him in from of everyone. he didn't even have the decency to call her by her first name. he wants to live in this mad men fantasy world where women do as they are told. he lied about her and expected her to just smile and go with it. they clearly don't know each other all and the husband clearly doesn't respect his wife.

If I were in OP's shoes where my sibling and tried to do an "InTerVeNTiOn" to force me into a relationship with my loser ex I'd walk out, contact my sane family, go file a police report and go no contact with egg donor and eggdonor spawn #3. I'd also collect as much proof as possible in case egg donor tries to take me to court over my child. Or just burn the house down with them still inside.

I have had someone do an intervention against me for lying. They doubted the stories I told about my life over the years but they had no proof and said they couldn't be friends with me anymore unless I lied about not lying and said I made everything up. The stupid younger me didn't have many friends and complied which is something I still regret to this day. Long story short at a later time I cut ties with them and told them off, a whole year went by and they begged me to come back. The point being, set your boundaries and if anyone tries to control you then tell them to fuck off.

Story 2- I'm more impressed the guy thought the op was playing hard to get. Is that really a thing? Like how big is your ego to think that way. Op clearly told the guy to back off.

The second story is defi not a jerk. She can wear the ring whenever she feels like it and especially since her hubby seem fine with her not wearing it. She already told him she is married and he still doesn’t stop. She should has reported him for sexually harassment.

#3 is just straight disrespect. Reminds me of the time my parents introduced me as "This is our autistic son" - which I reject on the basis that I'm not autistic and even if I was that's a disrespectful way to introduce anyone (by their disability) as though it's their defining feature.

So I've been married for 16 years and if he was ever stupid enough to introduce me as "the housewife" I would slay him in front of everyone as well (verbally, of course)! Hats off to my girl! 👏

Story #3: Not a jerk, actually the husband is being misogynistic... He implies to his co-worker that he is the main provider in the household by labeling her as the housewife, which btw there is nothing wrong on being a housewife.... If we understand the context of the word "housewife", you may think that the husband is implying that she doesn't have any other job other than taking care of their house and family, even though the OP has a job.... And she was introduced by her surname and nit even by first name which some people

I’m a nurse and never wear my wedding ring at work. It rips the gloves and when I wash my hands/use sanitizer it gets underneath the rings and causes skin breakdown. Wearing a ring is not an obligation to show you’re married. That’s just silly
