You played the typical martis feeder gameplay.
What you should have done is keep skill 2 knock up after skill 1, untill its passive stack 4 almost finish. Then cast skill 2, this way u maximize his dmg and atk speed.
Combo is s2, s1, basic atk, s2, basic atk but also need macro play to avoid stun. Then, timed s3 correctly when x sign shown.
Also no martis user will ever use dhs, because he meant to kill squishy hero asap, while letting mm/mage to take down tank.
Martis is by far the best hero response to badang because of s2 immune cc and can dominate him in lane as well.
You just played him the wrong way.
