Leeds United 2-0 Hull City | Highlights | Sky Bet Championship

After coming back from 1-0 down against Stoke last weekend, Hull City travelled to Elland Road for a clash against Leeds United. Here are the highlights.

Leeds fan here and I must say the Hull City commentary was pretty good and level handed - for most of the highlights. I must however pick them up on a couple of points. Firstly, they said Leeds were lucky - I didn't see any luck what so ever. Hull had a few decent chances that were not converted because a. The Leeds defence including Kiko, snuffed out the move and stopped the goal or b. Hull couldn't hit the target and often that was because the Leeds defence blocked the shot or did enough to put the striker off. Neither scenario is down to luck, but down to actions of players. Luck is defined as something that happens that is out of your control. It would have been unlucky for Hull if say a cross had hit a pigeon taken it away from your keeper and gone in... I didn't see pigeons involved in either goal


The commentator then went on to say that it was one of the cruellest nights in recent history. That is really stretching it!!! Hull couldn't score and Leeds scored twice and actually had a perfectly good goal disallowed for what I can only assume was offside, no one was offside in the move. That was incredibly lucky for Hull.


Hull played well, but Leeds played better and were worthy winners. Not our best performance of the season, but good enough to beat Hull...

We deserved more, just wasn’t our day we came up against Leeds when they’re on one of those runs where everything goes their way. At least we played well and hopefully we can carry it on to Friday and we should be able to beat charlton

As a hull fan my commentary can sway to being biased at times, but it’s due to the occasion and felt last night we deserved a draw. Maybe got caught in the occasion too much.

Bamford took the keeper out for the 2nd goal, how is that not disallowed ?
