People always complain that the game isn't 100% accurate, but I don't think that's the point. The point of a game like this is not to teach you 100% factual information about a culture, but rather to get you interested and want to go out and learn about the actual culture the game is inspired by. And for the people who were interested in Natlan and what it's based off of and are now here, I think it did it's job fine.

That was so interesting and informative! Thank you for having shared with us more about your country. Kenya is such a beautiful place and your proud look is hearthwarming 🥰

Sadly I can't really speak my regional dialect too (I live in Italy) but I understand it on a level, so I get you ahah

Hey this was amazing!!! I clicked so fast when I saw the video pop up on my feed :D Here in the west we're not taught a lot about individual African countries, and rather about Africa as a whole, generalized continent. So this was phenomenal :) I'm excited to see what kind of food from East Africa that might pop up in Natlan since I absolutely love to cook and learn about food from around the world, I'll keep an eye out for ugali and githeri!

thank you so much for the informative video !! I'm so glad that genshin has led to to be more curious about different places in the world and learn about new cultures :> kenya looks like such a beautiful place with a very rich history and I'm happy to be learning more about it.
also I very much relate with the languages thing !! I'm half brazilian and grew up in the uk, so I can understand portuguese perfectly but speaking it is a little difficult at times since my brain is wired for english lol

Hi, thank you for making this! It helps us realize just how many different are there even within one single country, let alone how many countries are there and we often know so little about them. These things are very interesting, I stopped the video at certain points to look further on the internet.
For example when the Kushites were mentioned, I immediately thought of the Kushite Kingdom from the ancient times, who fought a great war against the Roman Empire.
Oh and fun fact here: I (unfortunatelly) learned nothing about the ancient Kushites in school, I only know about them thanks to (drumroll please...) Genshin Impact. :D Because one of the Sumeru characters who lives in the desert (Sumeru has two large regions, a rainforest and a desert) is called Candace and although in appearance she looks more like Egyptian-inspired, her name 'Candace' is the Latinized form of the word 'kandake'; which was the title of the sister of the king of Kush. I only know this because I love Candace as a character so much that I looked further into her backstory and design and I found out about this amazing ancient kingdom forgotten in history. School didn't teach me this, Genshin Impact did. So... thank you miHoYo. :D

It's so interesting to learn about different culture, countries and their history, I never thought I'd learn so much just by clicking a youtube recommendation of a Genshin reaction lol.
Thank you so much for making this video Edward 😊😊

Ah, so few comments! I love that everyone in our generation who has a mother tongue but was educated in a different language has the same problem— My accent is *terrible* and my sentence structure depends entirely on what language I initially learnt it in 😅 The more languages I learn, the less coherently I can speak, I feel. 😂

I’m learning a lot of Kenyan culture from you! It’s nice to hear you speak about a subject so foreign to me. Keep doing what you’re doing me dude!
