I have to agree with MANY of the comments, the ratio of water to lentils is ridiculous ! My lentils were swimming in water when the instant pot time was up !

I always put cooked dry beans in the bottom of my "salads in a jar" as my protein, but I've wanted to try lentils. This recipe worked absolutely perfectly! Thank you!

Just tried this and ended up with a mush. I think next time I'll go for 8 mins pressure and then full release. My lentils had no texture left and were the consistency of red lentil dhal (but a lot wetter). They were impossible to rinse. I dare say there is huge variation in lentil size, source, quality, etc. so maybe experiment with a cup at a time to see what works.

Lentils (except already peeled ones) should always be soaked. It reduces the phytic acid and increases the bioavailability in the same step.

Convenient but boiled lentils tastes much better.
