Be great to find a video that explains physical upgrades. Have old 2012 R2 server and have purchased a new server with 2022 on it. Trying to find the steps for migration is a complete nightmare.

Consider adding a new video with the same inplace upgrade but for a DC server.

Is there a "downside" to in-place upgrade ? If the servers are VMs, with snapshot backups, could they be easily reverted back if the upgrade had a problem ? Would in-place upgrade be simpler than building a new server and reinstalling all the applications ? My company wants to build new servers, but that seems more complicated.

Where can I find the 2022 ISO to download. Not the Eval ISO. As this doesn't allow in place upgrade.

Great vid again mate. Wondering if you can help with an issue I’ve got. Random users are logging in to their pc and the windows apps are missing (photos, calculator, store etc) if they were to log onto a different pc they would appear. If another user were to log on to the affected pc they would have access to all apps. I cannot figure it out. Running. Powder shell script can bring them back but disappear again after a restart.

One quick question. I have a server running Server 2019 Standard as a virtual host to 3 Hyper-V VMs. I need to upgrade it to Server 2022 Datacenter. I'm trying to figure out if I should shutdown the VM's during the upgrade or let them run. It seems that I would want to shut them down.
