I've been doing a lot of this lately in Dorian situations just out of ear conditioning from listening to fusion stuff, but I didn't realize there was a name for it, glad to know it's called Quartal Harmony. Makes perfect sense. It's always good to have a name for these things!

I remember learning "So What" and thinking "Hmmm, chords don't have to be stacked in 3rds?" lol BTW, I dig your cruise ship set list. I really like your rendition of "Shape of My Heart."

I used to play a lot of backing tracks gigs and then I injured my hand (tore ligaments and tendons in my fingers) about four years ago and that was basically it for my playing career. I didn't have any insurance at the time and couldn't get it fixed when I needed to. My hand hasn't healed like I would've hoped. You ever had any hand problems during your playing career?
