I like to imagine that every building is just one level deeper into the ground, that would explain the stacking of same sized buildings too

If you can fit a hundred giant steam engine inside your pocket, there is no reason why you cant fit entire functioning factory inside your backpack

Imagine having buildings within buildings to the point where your entire base is within one building, with all the different ores and resources going into it. The resources run out, so you simply pick up your base and hike it somewhere else

Not sure how anyone thinks this is 'cheaty' when all this does is save space in a world were space is infinite.

Should probably explain what the mod does within the first minute or two.

as far as it being cheaty...well it's a mod so....all it really does is allow you to build your factory in a "smaller" foot print on the map which means less running around for things and more figuring out how to get things into tight spaces. I am looking forward to this instead of a massive town squares build. where I have to run halfway across my map to get things back and forth. When you only have a couple hours a day (if you are like me) to play this is a huge help!

Holy moly... there are some really nice mods out there. It's so cool that you can go inside the building.^^ I definitely try this one. :) Nice video as always ;)

Pick up the factory, move a thousand tiles away, plop it down, you have just moved a huge amount of infrastructure with you instantly.

Balance Mode: Material shifts between containers until the amounts on both sides are equal. Prevents a single source from Bogarting your supplies. Basically its required if using logistic chests / robots.

This looks really cool! Especially the fact that you can place the building in buildings

Some questions:
1. Do they produce pollution? Do they produce it while you carrying it in inventory?
2. Entrance of the building is wide enough to fit a railway. Can trains get inside?
3. Can that building be blueprinted with all structures inside?
4. Can bots get inside if there's roboport inside and can that roboport be connected to logistic system?
5. If it has an entrance does that mean that biter's AI take that into accout and will try to enter building?

just build a base in a base in a base in a base in a base in a base in a base and just protect the little thing outside lulz

These are cool and agreed pretty cheaty, the real question which isn't answered is how does this affect pollution? does it hide the pollution or create TONS of it depending on how full each building is?

This mod is what I've been missing in my life

My theory is that the building is just an entrance to a underground room meaning that recursive buildings are pretty much just floors going down

see, this seems like it should be part of the original game - who builds a factory out in a grassy field? who leaves their hugely expensive equipment and precision machines out in the atmosphere? a medium size and defensible base could be made here, one that isn't defended by literally thousands of laser turrets and thousands of tiles of walls, yet it is still an end game factory.

i could only ask that bigger buildings are made, and made to the same scale - i think a rectangular building would be ideal, as that's how most of our ingame factories are built (to a degree) and that's how most real-world factories are designed.

How does pollution come into play here? will it output the exact pollution generated within or is it contained within the warehouse?
