My Big Sister had an Elvis story. She was working as a receptionist at, I think Arista Records, & one day the phone rang & the man on the other end said, "Can I speak to your boss, this is Elvis Presley"? My Sis replied, "Yeah, right, & I'm Ava Gardner" & she hung up. (My Sis' name was actually Ava & she was named after Ava Gardner.) About 15 min later, she had her head down, working on some stuff for her boss & someone placed a dozen roses on her desk. She looked up & a man, standing in front of her said, "I really am Elvis Presley. The next time I call, please believe me" & with that, he walked into her boss' office. She thought for sure she was going to be fired but Presley didn't get her in trouble.

My Dad was from Memphis and one day, in his teens, he was walking home and Elvis’ limo pulled up, Elvis rolled down his window and asked my Dad if he wanted a ride. Dad said sure and hopped in. Elvis talked to Dad all the way home. My Uncle served in the Military with Elvis.

My twin sister and I met Elvis at a gas station in Toledo, Ohio, 1956, his first year of being famous. We were age 4. We knew who he was. My dad got out of the car to talk to the guy in the next lane. The next thing we know is Elvis stuck his head in our car and introduced himself, shook our hands and told us he was a twin too. We were flabbergasted to say the least! 🤗😍

I was so blessed to have met Elvis in 1956 at the Olympia Theater in Miami, Florida. My cousin was president of his fan club and she had called the theater and spoke to Col. Parker, asking him if we would be able to meet Elvis and he said we could. When we arrived at the theater, we saw Col. Parker in the lobby. She introduced herself and asked if we could see Elvis. He said no, that he was too busy. I turned around and saw Red West and asked him, "Aren't you Red West?" I told him what happened with Col. Parker and he said, "Come with me." We walked up the steps to Elvis' dressing room and he went in first to tell Elvis we were there. When he came back out, he told us to go right in and we were not only able to meet Elvis, but he signed about 50 autographs for our fan club. That was unbelievable!!!! Another thing that is unbelievable is that my sister, who was with us, had her camera and was so awestruck, she forgot to take his picture LOL.

I love Kurt Russell’s story cause I just like how he didn’t realize at the time how Big Elvis was and I love how he says Elvis was a “really nice man”

No other artist has that aura about him. Even big celebrities were in awe of him

Considering the fact that Elvis is one of the most famous people to ever live and was (and still is) adored by millions, it's amazing that he always seemed so genuinely kind and humble. Says a lot about his upbringing.

Without fail any actor, singer, celebrity or average Joe or Joan who ever met Elvis always mentions how incredibly nice he was to them.

Just proves what Elvis is...ROYALTY.
No one has achieved THAT level of fame or celebrity.
Long live the KING!

Elvis really was Royalty...other huge celebrities who met Elvis were in awe of this man....but the one thing that is constant is that he was always polite and kind regardless of if u were a celebrity or not

My aunt is a HUGE Elvis fan. Been to Graceland, everything. She even has a room called the “Elvis room”. So of course, she wanted to see him in concert in Las Vegas. Well, she had fallen off a horse not long before & broke her leg & pelvis, so the concert hurt her, so she left early. As she was walking out, Elvis pointed to her & looked at her, since she stuck out as the only one standing up hobbling on crutches. Was a great moment for her.

I have a story! Many years ago, my husband used to work at JC Penny in downtown Greenville, Texas when he was a kid. There was an elderly man that had worked there, selling men’s suits, for decades! This is actually his story…As it goes, Idk what year, Elvis was going down the main drag of Greenville, when he spots a pink and purple plaid suit in the window. They pull over and he sends a guy in and purchased the suit. I assume they were on their way to Dallas. They left the suit for alterations and picked it up on their way back through. Although the old gentleman didn’t get to see Elvis up close, he still had the claim to fame as having sold a suit to the King Of Rock and Roll! Very proud! He told us kids that story many MANY times! LOL! Sweet old guy!
