Such as parametric statistical procedures that involve either, t-test, z-test or anova. And for nonparametric scenario, we can consider distribution-free scenario or truly nonparametric scenario. We were exposed to the application of nonparametric statistics in the field of physical, medical, social sciences and communication. Good afternoon Dr. I'm Yong Jiet Jun (D100373) from SMS3123 Group A. From this video, I understand the two scenarios to employ nonparametric procedures. These scenarios will be distribution-free scenario where the population of the sample originated was not concerned and truly nonparametric scenarios where the other characteristics were focused on instead of the population parameters. Goiod morning dr. I am Siti Nurshafika binti Awang Rajip (D20211100350) from SMS3123 Group A. From my understanding, a parametric statistical will required certain assumption to be fulfilled before we can proceed with certain procedure such as anova, t-test and z-test. If the assumption for that parametric statistical procedures arent met we need to use nonparametric statistical procedures. Which then the nonparametric procedures are break into 2 category which is distribution-free scenario and truly nonparametric scenario. These are some of the inputs I gained from the video. Assalamualikum Dr., I’m Muhamad Aqil Harif (D100377) from SMS3123 group A, thank you Dr. for the clear explanation. From this video, I managed to learn about nonparametric statistical procedures. I noticed that there are pros and cons of using this method but from what I see it is appropriate to use this method when the data is recorded on the weaker scale, the assumption necessary for parametric procedures is not met and, lastly the hypothesis tests are not concerned with the population parameter.
