OHH, I GET IT. They were both just trying to catch the bus before it left for the next stop. The lady assumed the police was chasing him because he'd done something wrong and tripped him. In reality, he was innocent, but now he's injured and potentially going to miss the bus

Not sure what the point here is. If she was right in assuming that the police officer was chasing the other guy, everyone would call her a hero lmao. Any given situation can potentially be misunderstood. That doesn't mean you should never do anything.
