VP Sara curses First Couple, Romualdez amid ordeal of OVP exec

A fuming Vice President Sara Duterte cursed President Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez as she held a midnight press conference on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Duterte fumed over the political persecution that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) is currently experiencing from the administration and dug up the supposed "lies" that President Marcos, her running mate during the elections, had said only to secure the votes of the people.

Duterte claimed Marcos lied when he promised the people that he could sell the rice at P20 per kilo.

As a Filipino, I am really worried to see this kind of news and issues nowadays which is very alarming and disturbing. As a politician or even a common citizen, we should know how to absorb criticisms. Battle of principles must always be fought in a professional and in a diplomatic way. All are saying they are professionals and educated but lacking in a manner or traits which should always be possessed by an individual and especially as a leader. At any given time when a person speaks or decides allowing his anger runs through his/her mind, the outcome or result will always be the wrong and negative one. Uncontrollable emotions and anger simply show that a person is dangerous (physically), and what more if you are in the upper echelon of a government who's been idolized by many, or you can say millions? Again, we have different views, we see things differently and it depends on how we understand or analyze things based on our perceptions/perspectives. We should not be against each other and cursing one another whichever side we are supporting. In any sports or competition, sportsmanship and acceptance of the outcome is the most important thing as long as we give our best in a legal way. Hopefully clarity, calmness and peace to our Nation will always prevail.
