If you're in your 30's and don't have 50k saved up do this:
1.) Put that savings you don't have into a high yield account that requires a minimum deposit of money you don't have. Remember, average savings on 5k a year is $200. You'll gain that 45k you're missing in 225 years. Don't miss out!
2.) Create a budget. Follow the 50/40/10 rule. 50% of your budget will go to your rent payments. 40% percent will go to every other bill. And 10% will be the amount you pray you actually get to save before an emergency eats it.
3.) Make more money. It's literally that simple. You're only struggling financially because you choose to. Just get better job. Just gets the funds to start up a side business. Just win the lottery. Stop being poor and start making money.

Absolutely wrong—- the average America can’t come up with a $1000 dollars in 24 hrs and half of those people can’t come up with $500 in 24 hrs. This is the ugly truth of our country, it’s sad and absolutely uncalled for period. And it’s only get worse. Way worse!!!

I’m 27.. and certainly not close to that for an emergency fund or savings. However I am putting a lot extra towards my mortgage so that’s a big reason why I’m not close to that. Working on paying my mortgage off so I can save better, and have less worry.

Does this account for retirement, non-tax sheltered investment accounts, and a savings account? Bc 50k in just a hysa seems like alot, unless you are making a big purchase soon.
