The only reason that I was born in a semi reasonable condition, is because my dad drove at 180kmph for 120km to the closest hospital when my Mums water broke.

Luckily this was during a time when we all had Two Ways in cars and he managed to speak to the cops who were chasing him over that and didnt have to stop.

For people that live in the city, they probably see this and think its perfectly fine. For the people out in the country, most people would say that if a car stopped someone from speeding, it would 100% cause deaths.

The JD vance docs were blocked and banned from my understanding not because of the documents themselves, but because they had things such as vance's social security number and other federally dangerous material in them, which actually do go against X's rules.

Not sure exactly everything, but social security number came up as one of the big ones.

We just passed a phobe ban law for schools in hungary too.
Primary and higschool students has to give their phone in the begining to the headmaster's office and they only get it back at the end of the day.

Also they restricted the teachers, they can keep their phones, but not allowed to use them even in breaks, only use it in an emergency to call ambulance.
They can be reported and fired for using for other thing.

When I was a grad student in the late 1980s and early 90s yhey were always trying to build a new USA air traffic control system - then I went to Canada as a CS professor where they were excited about building a small ATCS system for countries of 25 million like Canada! None of these systems ever got built! A new air traffic control system is ALWAYS just around the corner even though it takes 10-15 years to build and validate it!

I remember fifteen+ years ago when YouTube started clamping down on copyright violations, and EVERYBODY started posting those text disclaimers stating what they were doing was protected under Free Use clause. I was like, "Um... That doesn't work that way. You can't just claim free use. If it doesn't fit the already established free use cases, you need a judge to review the case and declare it's free use." They didn't last very long. I suspect the "AI can't use my data" copypasta will not survive long, either.

What we REALLY need is for someone to take this to trial as a copyright infringement case and have the judge rule that AI scraping is NOT fair use. Sadly, this could go a lot of ways, and we all know groups like Reddit and Google have updated their terms of service to include language allowing them to use AI to scrape your things.
