I was kicked out of church for being gay. This was shocking to me. And I was so young at that time. Nobody knew that I was gay. I was afraid to come out of the closet and all I needed was love and support. Unfortunately I didn't receive that from the church.

I was a university counsellor. A student client came to tell me that he was having an affair with a divorced woman, whom the R C Church considered as still married. His parish priest was giving him a hard time. My job included staying in touch with priests or ministers whose denomiation had "deployed" them as being available to assist. Our RC one was a remarkable man, Fr Gillick, SJ. I spoke to him. He murmured something about Fr X being "a little old fashioned" and recommended Fr Y as being more likely to be helpful. The student changed confessors and all was well. So, priests have their own private views as well!

In church they teach people that, in church they teach people that it's a sin, it's sad that they do that. I hate when people say it's a choice because it's not. It's not a sin either. There's nothing wrong with liking and loving the same gender. People don't choose who they like and love. That's terrible that happened to you Alain. You don't need that negativity in your life.

That's unfortunately that's what religion does they don't like us because we are gay and they said that God doesn't like gay people that who made us if God does God God doesn't judge God loves everybody we are all his children no matter what no matter if you're black why straight or gay God loves don't you forget that my friend.
