Ingredients

2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mix in Sugar, Eggs, and Vanilla: Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
Add Dry Ingredients: Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Chocolate Chips: If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them into the batter at this point.
Pour into Pan: Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
