When i removed the old thermostat at 69 degrees, i could immediately hear the water flowing, but as soon as i installed the new one on the max setting after 5, it stopped and the radiator got cold. Does the thermostat need to be adjusted to allow the pin to keep open at the max setting?

Whatever the inside technology, the latest Danfoss radiator valves like RAE 013G5054 look pretty complicated to install, set up, and also to dismount for simple maintenance (for instance when blocked by calcar). You should instruct your engineers to design your products taking into account the end-user without standard tools, not only the installator.

why does MY conic valve turn TOGETHER with the snap connection ? - min. 0:51
I have NO heat, it seems to be useless.
Moreover, there are 2 heating pipes one on the top of the other at a distance of maybe 3 inches.
The plumber made a very "smart" installation and trying to open the valve it hits the upper pipe.
An angle valve installation would have allow the valve to open up rather than being stopped by the upper pipe.
The winter is here and I have NO heat. I have to call the guy again to do what he should do in the FIRST place (I was not home at that time).

Som jeg har forstået det er der fuld knald på når stiften er helt ude. Så med andre ord burde den køre med maks varme når man tager termostaten af og der ikke er noget der trykker på stiften? Jeg spørger fordi jeg har en radiator der ikke varmer og jeg ved ikke om det kan være termostaten der er i stykker.

Is it possible that the valve is installed backwards? It seems as though 5 is the lowest setting and 1 is the highest.
