it sad that people are commenting how this is not Dumbledore when this how he was described in the book when he was young before he ever became the great wizard we all know. If people remember he did alot of dark things with grindelwald when they where both young it one of the many thing beside what he did to his sister that drove the brothers apart. This i feel is the right representation of who he is as a young man calm, calculating, and willing to go to extreme lengths for knowledge.

To me these movies aren't spinoffs or even prequels - they're an extension of the world we love and know so well. The Wizarding World doesn't just revolve around Harry, Ron and Hermione, just like our world doesn't revolve around certain people - it's a whole world, and the Fantastic Beasts movies show another important part of its history. Hogwarts is our home, but it's not JUST Hogwarts; it's being back in that world again, seeing the sparkly wands, feeling the mystery and rush of affection for the characters, the uncontrollable excitement when the trailer was released. When I say 'Harry Potter', I'm not just talking about the eight books/films we adore so much - I'm talking about the magical world we are part of.

I may not have grew up at the time when the HP books/movies were being released, but oh my god I'm so glad I'm growing up at the time when the Fantastic Beasts movies are being released, because like them or love them they are part of this amazing incredible Wizarding World.
