I have to say, I NEVER thought I'd leave the Boston [HTM] Psalter, but truly: this translation is a masterpiece imo. Hands down the best Psalter out there. Thank you for reviewing Dale!

Thanks Dale! The green reminds me of the St. Dunstan psalter, which is SO great

Great review! Thanks! I am the managing editor for STM Press. The second impression is being printed in Great Britain (not China). It also includes 3 marking ribbons (not just 1). I am sorry for the shipping damage. I brought this up with our "shipping-monk, " noting that these are expensive books and need to be packaged more carefully. Best wishes to you and your channel.

The OCA website has liturgical texts marked 'thou-version' and 'you-version'. I wonder if there'll ever be a 'you-version' of this Psalter.

Weird, I was just wondering if you’d have a review of this earlier today

This psalter looks great! I wish it had come out before I bought two or three others.

This is a very good Psalter. I am tempted, on the strength of your video, to purchase this Psalter.

The only critique I have, besides the one you mentioned concerning the need for more ribbon markers, it that the 9 Odes are not included. I don't expect all 15 because the only 6 Odes are seldom used nowadays. However, Those 9 Odes compliment the Psalter if one doesn't have a good prayer book with them.

I became acquainted with the Psalter using the KJV, not the Coverdale. I quite like the Coverdale, but I like the KJV Psalter even more. The problem is that, intellectually, I believe the LXX Psalter is most correct, who means I prefer either an Orthodox translation of the Psalter, or the Douay Rheims if I don't have a translation from the LXX. That would be the only possible shortcoming with the Anglican Office Book.

Keep these kinds of videos coming. You seem to have a gift making edifying videos!

My dear brother. Santa needs to bring you a Keurig for Christmas, watching you drink instant coffee hurts my heart

Is there (or COULD there be) a universally-used Orthodox Psalter?

For someone that uses the Boston Psalter exclusively, would this Psalter be overkill? It seems like this is the rare case of a positive evolution in translation.

What I can't get used to in this and many other Psalter translations is NON-capitalized personal pronouns referring God. After the HTM Psalter or 'A Psalter for Prayer' or the modern-day English 'Ancient Faith Psalter' I always stumble at 'thou, O Lord', etc. Reading 'Thou', 'Thee', Thy', 'His' or 'You' addressing the Lord gives me a more comforrable feeling. What do you think?

Can you comment on personal pronouns addressing God not being capitalized in this translation? I've seen people commenting on that in other places.
