I've got over 6000 miles on my Interceptor, most of it riding with a pillion. Love it. Have never had one single problem with it.

Like Mr Darcy and the Old Man keep saying, it's a bike that feels and screams character. It's absolutely beautiful, the engine sounds and feels great, being air/oil cooled gives you a legal reason to lane split in countries where it is otherwise illegal (Germany for instance), it's quite cheap.... what's not to love about it? Certainly a great beginner bike, but also a great forever bike.

I'm 23 and I've bought one as a second bike and I love it! I'm 6 Foot 4 with a 34 inch inseam and I'm very comfortable on the bike but that is with the softer and slightly taller Touring/Comfort seat as people do say the stock seat is rather hard! I've added a full TEC exhaust system and it really brings the 270 crack twin to life! awesome review as even, Dan - thank you very much!

I’m also 64 and own a Tiger 900 gt pro with all the tech for two up touring and I bought an Interceptor with no tech in March as a second bike, and I tend to ride the RE more, I love it. I’ve also added a pair of Enfield Precision exhausts from Hitchcock and it sounds fantastic.

I have an older air cooled 650 Bandit, and the absence of the blast of hot air coming off the radiator is really quite nice, on a hot day.

I can confirm that at 85 mph upwards (private roads obvs) these engines sound like they're gonna adds to the amusement. Front suspension needs uprating ASAP. Standard brakes lack bite. I've shed 20kgs on mine. Harder riding produces 50mpg.

Yes this is my choice of motorcycle. I've owned a Royal Enfield Interceptor since 2021 and I've been riding motorcycles for 50 years. Ran all sorts of motorcycles since all sizes really different makes and sizes. And I can tell you the Royal Enfield is a terrific bike. I do me on servicing as well. And I also on a hunter 350 which service both bikes myself, with aftermarket silencer and also a fitted fuel X devices on both bikes, And helps on the lean burn situation and the bike is definitely benefiting from it. I would recommend anybody who's fitted aftermarket air system and silencer to do the fuel. X on these type of machines. Cheers Paul

Great video Dan. Had an interceptor last year and was a great bike. Swapped it out and got a trident 660 lighter bike for me and always wanted a triple as I have now turned 60 and a older rider.

Had my interceptor for a couple of months now, got her in the white and red from 21 but I love it to bits, got the full tec system on her plus a few other bits. Have to say, the classic spoked wheels look better in my opinion, but you can't go wrong with one of if these

I've been looking at this bike since -18. Maybe I'm there soon where I buy one! Need to try the Guerilla first. Thank you!

Excellent review Dan, I've had my baker Express for just over four years now and the only issue I've had was air in the rear brake system and a faulty tyre valve all of which I rectified myself. These bikes are easy to work on and I've done my own servicing from day one, the stock seat is hard after an hour of riding. As I get older the weight of the bike is getting harder to live with, not when riding but manouvering in and out of the garage. I was going to look at the Triumph 400/400X as a lighter alternative but the Guerrilla 400 will now be added to the list, I will still hold on to the Interceptor though.

Awesome review, I’m after a retro bike that I can just cruise around nicely on that isn’t going to shred my bank account apart. These are really well priced and look awesome.

The touring seat is in style only and is not any better than the stock seat. Save money by having the stock seat reupholstered with say comfort foam. I’ve had my Interceptor for over 3 years and it’s a keeper.

Thanks for this one Dave, and what with this and Peter's (LE) offering, I think it's made my mind up regarding my Himalayan and this year's Spanish trip. I put a TEC camshaft in a couple of years ago so I have a touch more power, but the motorway miles down to Plymouth are a pain at 60mph. I'm putting a new chain on before I go, and even if I put the standard sprocket back on when I get back it'll be worth it. Yep decision made! Thanks. 👍

I got one in June. I also think the seat is a bit hard, but the gripe I have is the bulging crank casing on the right. It's always in the way of my break foot.

I bought mine new as at the time it was only £500 difference from private 2nd hand, 1st things I did was put on a GT touring seat and foam grip puppies to make it a lot more comfortable as the original seat is terrible after 15 minutes riding

To me if felt very conservative and I can say that it did everything quite well. Sure, it is not a rocket, but when you get used to it, it for sure brings you that smile on your face. :) Rode it in Italy. Great video Dan. Enjoyed.

What you have there is the dark edition which comes in blue and black. All other interceptors have chrome engines and exhausts. I own baker express version and love it. The dark versions have tubeless tyres too unlike the rest that all have spoke wheels. I replaced my seat with the touring seat which is better but still not amazingly comfortable. Under the side panel is a useful toolkit. Mine has different exhausts and sounds really good. These are total bargains at the moment and it's main rival is probably the BSA Gold star. Nice review BTW
